why cant we do the right thing for the world?

what has ever made it so hard to put aside differences, and to agree. to me, the cause of conflict in the world has become something along the lines of asking someone why they don't like someone and them saying, "because he's a dick!". no reason, just the insult, and the obvious contempt. if you dont know why you do something, then why do it? especially if it hurts others.
