Sozobe, eloquent as always, tossed this into the mix....

Two things surprise me here. Firstly, that Sozobe, normally a very good speller, would butcher a word in such a fashion. (As Phoenix pointed out, a "t" is missing -- very important letter)

Secondly, obviously Soz is bothered by something on this thread. Oh my God! In my haste at constructing this poll I forgot that Sozobe's grandfather was a Bavarian cook. How could I have made such a horrible mistake. Please forgive me, Soz.

It is not singled out to one single person, rather than one group of people. Yes, I'm prejudiced. These people are the lowest forms of life, the lowest common denominator when it comes to humans.

New York Yankees fans.

When thinking of other sports rivals, no other fan base brings the feeling of such hatred. Green Bay Packers? Hey, good team, crazy fans, they look like they have a hell of a time in the stands. LA Lakers? Hate to face 'em, but their fans are just a bunch of harmless yuppies and celebrities. How about them Baltimore Orioles? Always good games, fans are respectable.

Yankees? Hey, historically, best team in baseball. Always a strong core of players. Fans? F'n $@#@)$#$@##$)(!@#$! pieces of sh#t.

What rests upon my gloriously bandana-ed head is a cheesehead. It is a foam thingamabob that fans of the Green Bay Packers football team wear. Green Bay is in Wisconsin, Wisconsin produces a lot of cheese, and rivals from the south (Illinois) and West (Minnesota) thought it was HI-larious to call GB fans "cheeseheads". The cheeseheads then embraced the term, and went and had some foam hats made, and started wearing 'em. Kinda like how gay people reclaimed "queer." Ya know.

Lotta Dutch and Germans around Wisconsin, Illionois, aint there? I guess there could be a link ... but its not that difficult to come up with it oneself, either ...
