I think I know why the Bruins lost game 5 - some one stole John Adams shirt.

Fortunately another quick thinking resident of Quincy adored John with a new shirt prior to game 6 and he was still wearing it last night when I drove by. You can't lose with President Adams supporting you.

@Linkat,
Article of this horrible theft.

I was fortunate enough to witness the dressing of Mr. Adams with the original Bruins shirt. He seemed very happy and pleased with the outfit. See how proudly he wears it.

@Linkat,
My son tells me that the NHL consists of about 55% Cdns, 15-20% each of Americans and Europeans. Boston, they say, has the most Cdns of any team.

@George,
Now, Mame will think that both of us are obnoxious, George.

I do want to say that it is beautiful in Vancouver. My daughter sent me photos when a televison show she worked for was filming there.

Can you take me off ignore, Mame?

I felt bad for the 'Nucks. They just couldn't take the Bruins physical play any longer...they were just too beat up.
I started watching Chara in game 5. I had never heard of him before. He's a marvelous defense-man. He's gotta be 6'6".

@George,
That's like the other current sports one-liner about LeBron:

Q: Why can't you ask LeBron James for change for a dollar?

A; Because he can't find the fourth quarter.

Thomas stood on his head, no doubt about it, and the Bruins took away the ice the Sedins et al needed - they were the better team and they wanted the win more. They deserved it. And they certainly didn't deserve the disgusting fan behaviour in the rink during the ceremonies - all that booing. We should be ashamed of ourselves. Well, THEY should - I wasn't there, thank goodness. Not that I would have booed anyway, as I said, they played better.

And now it's coming out that the riot was the work of organized rioters who were at the Olympics (too much security going on there) and the G-20. They were masked in black. A few locals maybe got wound up, but apparently there was a truck with a firebomb set to go off at the very beginning of the night, indicating it didn't matter who won the game.

Wandy starts everything, George. And you're both obnoxious!!

NHL Commisioner Gary Bettman walked out onto the ice and to grab the Conn Smythe Trophy seconds after
the Boston Bruins upset the hometown Vancouver Canucks to win the Stanley Cup.

No sooner did the NHL’s head honcho take his first step onto the Rogers Arena floor before he was met with
that all-too-familiar sound from the Vancouver faithful.

Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo!

In a fitting pittance of justice, fans straight across the other side of the continent were doing what those in
Atlanta and just about every other hockey market wished they could do – boo the weasel of a Commissioner
that would sell out the game for the highest buck.
