Why and how to avoid with my brand new EWF1082, Time Manager when using Cotton selection, badly wrinkled clothes?

Use the permanent press cycle. All clothes get wrinkled in the washer.

The dryer is the key. Use the permanent press cycle for that, too.

Most cotton clothing needs ironing afterwards, anyway.

If you use very hot water in the wash cycle and cold water in the rinse cycle badly wrinkled clothing will result.
to avid this use either warm water only in the wash cycle or warm water in the rinse cycle after a hot wash.
A period of tumbling without water can also be beneficial between wash and rinse cycle.
In addition a reduction in spin speed may assist.
