What's your opinion on spiders?

Spiders are arachnidae, not insects. Spiders eat insects. If you leave the spiders alone, they will leave you alone, and they will eat any insect foolish enough to take up residence in their vicinity.

I leave 'em alone.

They eat stuff I like less than they themselves.

I LIKE insects. And I just found a spider in my bed (well, a month ago anyways). Leave me alone? Hah. They are all all over. :shudders: I wish insects would eat arachnids, not the other way around.

Some insects - like wasps - DO eat arachnids! Lay their eggs in 'em.

Outside they are ok. They eat the little insects that munch on my garden and flowers. Inside my home, they will be issued the death sentence.

Once when I was really drunk a chick with hairy legs and a big stomach wrapped me up and ate me...but I was really drunk.....was that like a spidery thing?

Spiders are good. I don't particularly want 'em crawling on me, but I won't kill 'em either. In my house, I take them up on a piece of paper and pitch them out. My mom once left a five-legged spider stay on the living room ceiling for months (she felt sorry for it)...

*shudders* Actually, it's not so much that I hate them but that I am terrifyed of them. Just thinking of them actually gives me goosebumps and makes me shudder. I don't mean a casual thought, but if I dwell upon them..

Spiders scare the bejeebers outta me, but I'd rather them than wasps or mosquitos.

spiders is harmless, mostly, unless yer another worser bug. like I said, I don't want em ta crawl on me, but they can live their lives peacefully..... TF, no need for shudders... welcome, BTW, as I've only lately seen ya, and happy new year!

Among the truly bizarre list of titles that inhabit my book shelves, I have a special one for you Twisted_Ferret; A 1940 copy of John Henry Comstock's "The Spider Book" A manual for the study of the spiders and their near relatives, the scorpions, pseudoscorpions, whip-scorpions, harvestmen, and other members of the class arachnida, found in America north of Mexico, with analytical keys for their classification and popular accounts of their habits.

This one's a real page turner! I'll let you borrow it if you promise to return it in the same pristine condition. :wink:
