@djjd62,
Belle got into the birdbath to show me it was empty.

She drinks from it all the time.

This answers the question...

What kind of animal would a cartoon birdbath keep as a pet?

Hehe, I am sure she thinks you put that bird bath up for her. That's a beautiful and clever cat..I love her fur!

@CalamityJane,
She lives 2 doors down, but loves to hang out with me.

@chai2,
Is your cat of Serbian descent?

If so, perhaps you should start digging around your garden for a secret massgrave of songbirds.

I was analyzing the picture carefully and I see that you have lots of sedum. If you look under the cat and the birdbath you will see the sedum. Of course you could try filling the birdbath with water.

@farmerman,
Sedum? Is this some kind of technojargon you learned from Law and Order: SBU (Special Birdwatcher Unit)?

@tsarstepan,
sedum is one of the bestest plants a garden can have, drought resistant, the bees love them, i let ours stand all winter, they turn a nice rust colour when they dry, look nice with some snow cover

@farmerman,
That's so funny, because to the right of the shot, I actually have 1/2 dozen sedum planted.

However farmer, there are no sedum in the picture.

@djjd62,
There's about a ba-zillion different types of sedum (as I'm sure you know), and they are so easy to grow. When I was planting them this year, some pieces fell off, and I just put them on the ground somewhere else. They are already taking off.

I know the planting look kind of skimpy right now, but they'll all be filling out soon.

Here's my tomatoes and cucumbers.

Hopefully by next Spring this will all be filled out.

Cats certainly like to be on pedestals.

How come you're the only one on your street smart enough to get rid of the lawn?
