How come if I enter a forum, I don't see any "New Topic" button unless I actually go into one of the threads? Once in, then I see both "Post Reply" adn "New Topic". Is this as designed?
Uh, don't know what ya mean, Boss, when i enter a forum, the newtopic[/b] radio button is right up there, upper left-hand side . . .
Here is where I was where there was no "New Topic" button.

After posting this, I followed the link back to "Forum Help" and got the full list of postings, along with the "New Topic" button. Huh?
OK, Boss, when you're on that page, look at the top, a little right of center, and click on "Forums," then select a specific forum, and you'll see the button on the left side at the top of the list of threads.
Click the Home button at the top of the page, then "Forum Help" under the General category. That also takes you where I was. If you go to "Forum Index" you don't see that problem. Not very intuitive.
Another question for those experienced A2K users. Is there any way to see which threads have been updated that you're involved in, since you last read them? The "View topics you have posted in" option doesn't seem to indicate updates, you have to look at the post dates. Thanks.
Nevermind that last question about updates. I see it now. Just a matter of getting used to the interface.
Well, there is a "View topics you have posted in" button, which i use most often, top of the page, right-hand side. On the left-hand side is "View topics with posts since your last visit (x)" (with x as the number), which i also use, but i have to print it as soon as i get there, because if i go anywhere else, it resets to 0. I think this is a problem with my machine (may have to do with how i restrict cookies) or it may be a problem with Windows XP, because it doesn't happen when i am at Lovey's house and visit here.
Well, the site could get inter yer face more easily effen ye'd take that mask off . . .
It's my dumpster diving mask
Awwww, I never saw that "View topics you have posted in" before. Glad I looked in cuz that will help a lot when interruptions cause me to zero out the posts since last visit.
cjhsa,
Those pages aren't really forum pages and they are a long way from finished. Your point is a valid one and would take a few minutes to write and a few more to implement on one page. Unfortunately there are about 60 of those pages so I'll wait till I do a planned overhaul of those pages.
It's much easier to just use the forum BTW, untill I start work on those pages they are not of much use to members.
