Just the singles, and that was enough for me. Seriously, a song about how rich people get away with things?? What the F? And then a song about how girls only like guys for their money? What the F? They just aren't my style.
Girls don't like boys girls like cars and money.
Well, Good Charlotte doesn't really qualify as an underrated band. More like overrated if you ask me. What makes me hate them most is that they spawned *shudder* Simple Plan. Now Simple Plan qualifies as the worst band ever tacked on with the fact that they disgrace the name of punk and jump around like queers.
If you tell a real Punk fan that G.C. and Simple Plan is Punk, they will beat your ass.
No kidding, and for good reason too.
Agreed on Simple Plan. GC is definitely pop-punk, but I like it. True punk rock sounds to me like a cat in a blender.

Ever heard Dropkick Murphys?
They rock the block! Check them out one day.
Dropkcik Murphy's are awesome!!! I believe there Irish rock too and so that brings good rock countries to 5.
Ever heard of the Living End. To me their like the Australian version of the Dropkick Murphy's except their slightly more poppish.
Never heard living end....Perhaps I'll give them a chance.
To me they seem to mix AC/DC type riffs and mix punk music. Greatest part is that they are a punk band with some REAL guitar talent and like to bust out guitar solos. That and the bassist plays a stand-up bass.
Their new album is too poppy (like Green-day) However the older albums (Roll on, The Living End) are much better.
Punk: Minor Threat
Rock/Alternative: Meat Puppets
Electronic: Squarepusher
Other: Mr Bungle
Snow Patrol - top stuff. But having been championed by R1, they'll not stay hidden for long.
I'd lob in Mega City Four, Half Man Half Biscuit (Trumpton Riots, anyone?), My Bloody Valentine, Curve, Echobelly, Tanya Donelly, Gomez, David Lane and Lamb.
And, nearly forgot, Interpol.
the beautiful south

For me, the most underrated band right now is The Drive By Truckers. Excellent lyrics and instrumentation.
Drive by truckers? I like excellent lyrics and instrumentation. What kind of music is it?
I'd also put Bright Eyes up there. I don't know if he's underrated though, just underplayed. Talk about excellent lyrics.
