As far as an individual goes... The lead vocals in the band Steelheart back in the 80's was one I couldn't believe didn't make his mark.

Jet - Australian rock band
Saw them in London last week, absolutely unbelievable. touring America with the Vines next month, if you get the chance go along.
Jet is not underrated, are they? They just haven't been around long enough yet. They are getting a LOT of airplay in NYC. I love 'em, and I think they'll be getting their due real soon.

Yep, that's the group you're thinking of and I agree ~ a new album would be a welcomed treat.
If I haven't already mentioned it on this thread, I also think 'Jimmie's Chicken Shack' and 'Barenaked Ladies' are highly underrated.

It is insane that The Nuge isn't in The Hall! Also, I don't even think G.C. deserves a rating.
