Who can help me to paraphrase the following poem:
If in spite of your commands
Your Galahad has wandering hands
If on a date his lips do wander
Your virtue you must never squander
Your reputation is a shining prize
To guard it well you must be wise
If a girl is free with Tom, Dick, and Harry
Chances are she'll never marry.
It's a message to women to guard their reputation and to remain virtuous. If you mess around with anyone who come around, (every Tom, Dick or Harry) you will get a "bad" reputation, and no one will want to marry you.
When was this written? It sounds like something from the 1920's or 30's.
