@CalamityJane,
Where do you usually buy this Moroccan oil, Jane?
Chemist? Health shop? Or?
That'll give me some idea, anyway.

@msolga,
I bought it at Amazon, MsOlga, but I found this for you
http://www.facialcompany.com.au/Shop/file/Product/cat/424/pid/1438.htm?utm_source=getprice&utm_medium=cpc

The small bottle will last a long time, as you just take a small dab of it
and rub it in your hands and then your hair.

@CalamityJane,
Thanks very much, Jane.
I will do a bit of investigating online for possible Oz sources then check out Amazon if I don't get anywhere.

@msolga,
i like the effects of vinegar rinse so far, making hair softer, but oils are not for me. neither coconut, nor olive nor any other, i'm afraid. had to shampoo the devil outta my hair.

msolga, do you have Yves Rocher in Australia? They have a rose scented Moroccan oil -- sounds heavenly.

Have started making my last rinse COLD water which also helps control the frizzies.

@dagmaraka,
The Moroccan oil is different, dag, it is specially made for hair and not a
food ingredient.

MsOlga, can't you order from the source I linked for you? The online company is in Adelaide.

@ossobuco,
(sniff, sniff). You smell like a tossed salad with the olive oil. Yumm!

Popeye was looking for you, too!

I'm not sure, Tai.
But I'll do a bit of checking.
Thanks.

@Ragman,
Thank you, she bows.

I dunno, as I've both a poor sense of smell and shampooed out the olive oil after treating the hair with it.

To all, on thus getting oily dirty hair afterwards, no, it's still an every five days or so thing for me to wash it, however I wash it. That transition happened years ago, as I figured out washing my hair every day was an exercise in dry scalp making - plus I remembered my far ago childhood, when baths weren't that frequent and neither was hair washing.

@ossobuco,
i walked by Yves Rocher and got that Moroccan oil. This one is coconut scented...it says it's the original tahitian formula, Monoi de Tahiti (why moroccan oil then?). I used some on dry hair and can report my hair doesn't look greasy. Not sure if it looks any different though, maybe a bit less frizzy.

@dagmaraka,
I've got some of that Monoi de Tahiti, dag. I use it on damp skin after a shower. I'm not sure it has argan oil in it though. Yves Rocher does make a Moroccan oil with essence of roses -- it's something different. I'm interested to know how you like the gardenia oil on your hair though!

@sozobe,
WAAAAAAAAH!
so much for experimenting. I have a dinner date in 10 mins and a horrid greasy mess on my head. guess i'll have to wash it off and go with wet hair.
waaaah.

@dagmaraka,
What the hell are you doing, dag? If you have the Moroccan oil then you
use just a dab, rub it in your hands and work it through your wet hair.
Don't use it on dry hair and don't use the entire bottle.

@sozobe,
Used it today, I like it a lot!

My hair seems softer and shinier and holds a wave better. (My hair isn't really curly or straight, but very wavy with a tendency towards frizz.)

@sozobe,
I am glad you like it, sozobe! I curled mine the other day, and I noticed too
that the curls hold better now. Before, I curled it in the morning and it was straight by midday.
