I reacll the hagiography f certain saints of american history rom my youth.
In the 8th grade we spent one class day on the Revolution, one day on wordld war I , a day on World war II, and the rest of the smester, was spent on JEB STuart.
I had a geography class in the 8th grade which consisted solely of memorizing every capital of every state in the US and every capital of every country on earth.
During the first week of class we were looking at a globe and I remarked to the teacher that it looked like South America and Africa might fit together. He told me that was ridiculous and that I should concentrate on memorizing state capitals.
Damned straight . . . they don't build schools for a buncha mooncalves to daydream . . .
Tell that to Texas the next time they want to teach ID in science cl.... oops, I almost said something controversial, I beg humble forgiveness as I slink away...
