the display has 0 on the left side of the display and a 0 on the right . the settings are set right if you check them. the softner just will not cycle.

Unplug it, remove the 9 volt battery and check the fuse.
Let it sit for a few hours, replace the battery and plug it back in.
This may re-set the computer, but you may be shopping for a new control valve or a new softener if it does not.
it did reset but is still not regenerating?????????? If you try to push the cycle button it shows on the screnn but it does nothing.

Does the motor engage when you press the cycle button?
Does the screen display a countdown?

It sounds like you need to research the purchase of a new softener.
