My favorite scene is in Airport when the plane is screeching down the runway trying to stop and he keeps popping into the cabin saying, "I just want to say good luck."
Frank: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
Rumack: You can't take a guess for another two hours?

Rumack: You'd better tell the captain we've got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.
Elaine: A hospital? What is it?
Rumack: It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

@edgarblythe,
I once saw him interviewed and he was asked when he decided to quit 'dramatic' acting and concentrate on comedy. Forbidden Planet was cited as one of his better-known dramatic roles. With a completely dead-pan face he said all of his acting roles were comedy.
I've never been able to look at any of his serious roles since then without waiting for him to say '....and don't call me Shirley.'
He will be sadly missed.

I will definitely miss Leslie Nielsen. Everytime I use a urinal I think of that scene in the first Naked Gun movie.

I really liked that song he wrote for Midnight Cowboy titled Everybody's Talkin'.
Close, but no cigar.....Sam Neil wrote it and Harry Nilsson made it popular. But your effort is appreciated. Perhaps one day 20 yrs from now, people will laugh at you.
