@CalamityJane,
I'll take that to mean that the editorial staff are that facile.

JPB, i might take a look later on, but just that passage was sufficient to convince me of the unreality of the view being offered, so no, i didn't bother to click on the link. This thread has descended into such unreality that i may soon abandon it altogether. There may be a conspiracy against Assange and Wikileaks--but i doubt it. Conspiracies don't operate in the light of day, so it's ludicrous to for anyone to think they can link information which confirms the existence of such a conspiracy. More like a confederacy of dunces, to use a phrase from Dean Swift, via John Kennedy Toole.

Exactly.

Yes, to the editor of the NYTimes!

I agree with him - and anyway about 20 publications worldwide joined WikiLeaks in printing / posting the exact same material.

@High Seas,
I'm sure the US government can't handle that kind of mass media exposure with intimidation or anything else. That in of itself will become an international issue that will only blow up in their own faces.

I'm not your lacky, bright boy. I you want to review the thread, you'll find my responses to your posts. I'm not here to lead you around by the nose.

I would rephrase the original request to include a "please," but I have a feeling I would only receive an equally stinging rebuke, and I'm not sure my delicate nature can survive another one.

Instead, in response to your latest, I will refer you to Spendius who says it all.

PS: Not to lead you around by your nose, but I've linked his post to his name so you don't have to search the thread

@spendius,
If you can be charged with a crime for overrumpling, what is the legaly permitted level of rumpling?

@Finn dAbuzz,
I'm starting to wonder if you didn't, in fact, go with your Galt plans. Your posting here has increased about twenty-fold lately.

@cicerone imposter,
And I'm equally sure no government can possibly shut down WikiLeaks' 1,000++ mirror sites worldwide. Never get involved in battles you can't win.

@dyslexia,
I speak of what I know, computer networks - let some military expert address that one Smile

The USA does it all the time though the battles weigh most heavily upon the poor and the innocent, but that's how they have it planned.

@High Seas,
You often speak of many things that you know squat about.

Setanta chose this name to make a pretense that he is the"pathfinder". What a laugh and a half!

@saab,
Quote:
överrumpling is not a verz good word to use.
Better is the verb överrumpla = catch unaware
Överraskningssex = surprise sex should not be used in connection with rape.
It should be used more in a nice connection. "WOW he prefered me to his beloved soccergame this afternoon"
The the word rape in Swedish is våldtäckt. Våld =power, force Täcka = cover or supply one´s needs of

Thanks, that explains so much!

@Cycloptichorn,
So do I, but following Saab's explanation I question your previous idea that Assange was ever accused of "surprise sex" or any kind of rape:

Wasn't my idea, I have no clue what they are doing to the guy.

But, I've seen this before. As I said earlier, powerful interests stay powerful in large part through secrecy. Threats to secrecy are threats to them, and they fight back.

Bank of America today refused to complete any transactions with WL at all, citing some nebulous problem with WL. I wonder if those nebulous problems lie in the fact that they are probably shitting bricks over a few internal emails or financial reports which are about to be released...
