Getting odd job in adelaide

I am a new in Adelaide, arrived here just a couple of months earlier. Basically I am from a technical background. Now applying for a career in my field. I want some help till the time I get one of my field job. The fact is that I don't have any friends here. I have applied for odd jobs as well but still not able to find any.

Anybody to help, please.
