MINERAL

1) Some range in size available - all are smaller than a breadbox
2) not something to wear
3) a very similar item is available at Pier One's website (though it is mostly vegetable/part mineral, it serves the EXACT same function)
4) not typically found or used in a kitchen
5) I have ONE in my office that I use daily, but dozens at home - not sold at office supply stores
6) nothing to do with plants
7) not typically found in a bathroom

not a breadbox
not a drinking glass
not a salad bowl, or any sort of dish
not salad tossers
not a candle
not an in-out box
not a flower pot
not a waste paper basket
not a paperweight
not a mousepad
not a notepad
(NOT office supplies)
not a pillow or cushion
not a toothbrush holder
not a chair
not an ashtray

I think a good clue here is that I have DOZENS of these at home - probably more than a hundred

Yes, you got it onyx! I was going for a plastic coat hanger. The ones at the Pier One website were satin...
