i need to renew my passport in my married name. I got married in Greece last year and only received the translated version of my wedding certificate. Is this sufficient?

Why don't you call the UK Border Agency? Their Identity and Passport Service (IPS) issues UK passports. If you need any information about how to apply for a British passport, you can contact the IPS passport advice line on 0300 222 0000.
