@dumbwife,
That's a good way to lose a wife quickly too.

This is one of the most ridiculous threads I've ever read.

What is the point of it?

I didn't miss it. It was almost artfully done.

Ok, I seem a nut.
Maybe because i'm a chinese woman and i'm a bit traditional. In my culture, when men have affairs are considered 'normal' issues and wives should close an eye to it. Women are educated to be faithful, understanding, and respecting their husbands.
And we cherish love and all kind of relationship, including friendship. My generation are educated to not be afraid of overcoming difficulties in life. Overall, I don't think it so wrong as if my tradition would make me a bad partner/wife.
Some funny ppl said I have low self esteem or incurable disease because I wanted to be a better person/wife for my husband.
That's so funny. They really think that my respect and love for my spouse is to down grading myself. They think my husband loves me because I'm his slave or why low self esteem? Sorry, my husband is european.
My marriage has grown stronger because of my traditional thinking? Or so called low-self esteem and incurable disease... It's your freedom to think it that way. There's nothing I can help.

@dumbwife,
Have you heard of Amy Tan?

You might be interested in reading her novel, The Kitchen God's Wife.

@Cycloptichorn,
You and me have different culture but that doesn't mean you should be a racist and go against my writing without a valid reason. I did my best to answer your every question and I respect you have different views in life. So, if you don't like my answers, you can open your own discussion. You don't have to play 2 different IDs to emphasis you are damn right. It's very childish.

Well, that gives a synopsis of the story, which I didn't know as I read the book. I got to understand each character better as I kept reading.

@dumbwife,
I read this thread (oh my goodness! Neutral ) & this song immediately came to mind, dumbwife (I do wish you wouldn't call yourself that! Sad )

Anyway, enjoy! Wink

WIVES and LOVERS:

Hey! Little Girl
Comb your hair, fix your makeup
Soon he will open the door
Don't think because there's a ring on your finger
You needn't try anymore

For wives should always be lovers too
Run to his arms the moment he comes home to you
I'm warning you...

Day after day
There are girls at the office
And men will always be men
Don't send him off with your hair still in curlers
You may not see him again

For wives should always be lovers too
Run to his arms the moment he comes home to you
He's almost here...

Hey! Little girl
Better wear something pretty
Something you'd wear to go to the city and
Dim all the lights, pour the wine, start the music
Time to get ready for love
Time to get ready
Time to get ready for love

@msolga,
I like what you posted.

But there's something missing in the poem/lyric.

As a wife/a life girl for my husband, I don't worry about there might be some dumb girls in the office.

You know why? 3 Simple points.

1.After ****, the husband goes home.

2. The lover would be ?
Cheaper than prostitude, she regarded herself as a piece of tissue papper and let a married man use her for free. Yes men always want to be men, I agree and they need some tissue pappers, such as those dumb women, to wipe their urges. They love tissue papers when they're wiping, but they won't love tissue papper after it's used.

3.The lover can only stay in the darkness when the wife can hold and kiss her husband on the street. He would always go home where he has a beloved wife and lovely children.

Although I might act dumb, but I know the rules of the games.

Cyclo is far from a racist; he's a good man.
And I've enjoyed a peek at the feminine side of Chinese culture

I didn't have any real questions for you; and I don't have 2 different ID's, whatever that means.

Accusations of racism ought to have more supporting evidence to support them. When I said 'it was almost artfully done,' I was referring to your advertisement for your own personal blog - which I suspect was the initial and entire reason for you posting here.

I good wife generally compliments her husband (as is a good fit) but also has the ability and willingness to confront him...to do battle with him. Ditto for a good husband..
