Rainsoft EC4 -Resetting the water filtration date.

Is it possible to reset the alarm that controls the undersink water filter? The install technician told us with just the two of us in the house it might not be necessary to replace that big silver filter on a yearly schedule. The water taste, smells, and looks great so I'm thinking a 18mth or 24mth schedule might work for us but I can' t figure out how to rest the date so the alarm will go off? Any help would be appreciated. WallyB
