I have owned for 18 years now, trouble now with starting cycle on it's own. I can start system manually but after cycle, water is not soft and water is in round container with ball at top after cycle. I'm a DIY'er and would like to fix it if I had a repair manual or diagrams of what needs to be done.
@Rebelman,
if it's not starting on it's own, I'd check the blue counter wheel to make sure it's spinning. If the "triguard( round container with the ball) is full, it could be the orings on the piston, the poppet between the brass elbow and the triguard, or the birne tab not shutting off all the way.
