@ehBeth,
well be amazed then but what I did find was one blog leading to another blog leading to another blog. I also tried to google the listed author. no luck there either. weird I guess, this debate i'm not debating, I have yet to deny the allegations, I have only said I question the agenda of the blog due to lack of supporting sources that do not appear "spun"

@dyslexia,
do you consider the New York Times online a blog?
is the BBC online a blog?
Bloomberg?

maybe it's a generational language barrier or something, but I don't consider either of the above blogs - and McClatchy is also not a blog

googling the individual references isn't that hard either

@ehBeth,

Beth, I'm surprised you would resort to such a question, especially when you know Dys well enough to be aware that he researches whatever he reads, sometimes to a fault, when it comes to something this important and despicable.

So he didn't find it under the BBC. Too bad we don't get it in this country and too bad it wasn't included in the research he looked into.

Both of us are relieved and pleased that it is, in fact, a legitimate story. My uncle died of mesthelioma, it is truly an ugly disease.

well, that is part of the problem (mcclatchydc) when googled comes up as mcclatchy press rather than the (dc) blog, I could find no (zero) hits for the (mcclatchydc) so I ask what is the (dc) part of mcclatchy and why can't I find it. I really don't know.

@Diane,
Don't bother being surprised.

What I know about dys' research abilities is what I find here. A simple google search (McClatchy + asbestos) led to the origins of the article that McClatchy published - which led straight to the BBC.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
yes, that was one of the regional papers that carried the article

there is a lot of coverage internationally as the report was just released

we're getting a particular whackload of the coverage, as Canada is one of the primary problems

dc just tells you which regional/national paper within the chain that article came from. it seems to have been published in pretty much all of their markets in the U.S.
