Green Card Lottery

Hi everyone,

One of my friends is from one of the former Soviet Union Countries. She and her husband applied for a U.S. Green Card Lottery this year. Recently they found out that her husband was not selected, but she did not receive the same message; however she hasn't received anything in the mail either. She is wondering what she should do? How can she find out if she passed or not?

Also, her husband overstayed his visa when he was in the U.S. before the marriage. Now, she is wondering if it anyhow affects her and her husbands ability to come to the U.S., if she wins a lottery!? Please can you write your comments or any suggestions.
