@Dutchy,
Bob, and I think Diane, liked it too, when they visited.

My friend took a lot of good photos on his recent visits. He moved to the US but always kept in touch with Amsterdam. I'll post if I've somehow saved any of the photos. But - he was a kid there in a hard time.

@hamburgboy,
I don't know. I've figured I'd like it. I'd probably be off exploring various efforts re water levels - though I admit to liking some early crime novels.

@ossobuco,
Your photo reminds me of one I took at the Bel Air hotel a long time ago. I suppose I tossed it.

@ossobuco,
I'd say Rimini looks a lot more like this:

AND THAT'S BEFORE THE MASSES OF PEOPLE ARRIVE!

@fbaezer,
Looks like a blow up of the earlier pic (well, from a different angle). Gah! I love the seaside, but prefer my time there to be more serene.

I remember Amarcord, where it was shot somewhere else but was said to be about Fellini's Rimini. Liked it better, heh. While I was looking up the photo I saw Ryan Air flies there.. Well, I don't know much about italian beach cities/towns except that some are very popular in August.
