Rainsoft Amazon Q regenerates ever 144 Hours

I have notice that my Rainsoft softner regenerates roughtly at about 144 hours.
Not sure why, As I understood it it would only regenerate on the Usage?
Anyone know why and if so how I can change that, I only use about 900 gallons or less in that 6 days. The units capacity is 2750 Gallons.
