I knew he wrote a lot of good songs, but I never realised how many of the classic tunes were his until I read the obit.
He seemed a nice bloke as well as atalented one.
Indeed. He certainly knew how to write HITS.

A Fats Domino greatest hits set. So many considered him a genius at the time. 70 years past that context I don't really get it. It's not awful, but it doesn't really do much for me.
