I'm working from home which means updating my music collection ratings is a lot simpler (at work I play the backup so no point fixing metadata). So I'm being more systematic and playing stuff I've downloaded but haven't listened to.

Right now it's Al Caiola's 'Bonanza! 1960-1969' and the opening track is:

I just found a post-rock band from North Carolina: Slumberwave. Good name choice judging from the opening of this track waiting to see where it goes. I hope it is half as good as my Aussie faves Sleepmakeswaves.

@Region Philbis,
Priceless...I was 7 when this came out. However when I first heard it (1962) it was already an oldie.

@Region Philbis,
My late brother (who was 6 years my senior) named his first car “The Wanderer” after their hit song. He was a big fan of theirs and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Apropos of nothing, I just learned that he was only 5ft 5 in tall.

(I'm working from home so playing master copies so I can do ratings live - playing stuff I've never listened to (or don't remember listening to)

This isn't bad for a kiwi :-) dance pop/drum n bass crossover with some baroque pop thrown in.

Peaked at 21 on the oz charts in 1997.

@hingehead,
I had forgotten this was a music thread:

"Secrets of the Forbidden City" -
