I've had this on high rotation on my predawn walks (bluetooth headphones and playing mp3 on my galaxy)

All 43 Hot Chocolate tracks in the collection, in alphabetical order (currently the 1993 version of Emma).

Vale Errol Brown.

My personal connection to Hot Chocolate is catching the train to play hockey against another high school and a bunch of us were talking music (which at that time meant very early new wave - Gang Of Four, a bit of Fripp and Eno (yes we were double-jay-listening nerds).

Two older ladies were sitting near us and one got up and rather proudly told us that her son was in Hot Chocolate.

So Every 1 wasn't a winner that time.

Even then youth culture was apparently impenetrable to the older generation. Trying to impress us with a connection to a pop/disco band was as impressive as offering us a dog turd on a stick. But we were politish.

I have never been able to figure out who her son was (Clearly not Errol or the other more tan gentlemen) there's no mention of an Australian in the band (I guess she could have been a migrant but I don't recall an English accent).

freaking amazing

good interview

the music is just wow

Quote:
Musical duo Ibeyi have a bond that goes beyond being twins. Lisa-Kaindé Diaz and Naomi Diaz combine their French, Cuban and Yoruba heritage to make enthralling music — and we at q believe their self-titled debut record is one you need to hear.

Their music honours their past while being decidedly forward thinking. It's a captivating mix of jazz, electro, world music and R&B.

The twins join Shad in studio q to discuss their debut effort and perform three songs.

Warren Zevon's last appearance on the David Letterman show back in 2002. The song is Roland the headless Thompson Gunner. So sad. RIP, Warren, I always loved you.
