The new Rolling Stone's single. I couldn't have asked for anything more and fact of the matter is - these guys are either approaching or have reached the age of seventy!! My favorite band - next year is their fiftieth anniversary of playing together and I think this song illustrates exactly WHY they are the best and are still playing:

Sturgis

@Lustig Andrei,
I love Brookmeyer. Had an album with him and Stan Getz called Getz 57 that was superb. Under-appreciated 'bone man.

@aidan,
i've heard the song about 4 times in the last week or so, one time on a fave talk show one of the hosts made a real point of the pronunciation of "Doom & Gloom", he did a great a great exaggerated Dyume & Glyume thing that stuck with me and the next couple of times i heard it that's all i could think about

I'm listening to Talking Heads 'True Stories' which was when their popularity was waining (I think 'Naked' was next). Never really gave it much attention 20 years ago. Quite liking it now.

It has nothing to do with metronome, it has nothing to do with playing on the click. We just ... our heart, our emotion was the timing, you know, and ... beautiful.
