I was introduced to this album by a friend in high school - I still don't know how he found this stuff - he was into Tangerine Dream, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Neu, Eno, King Crimson in 1975 in the Western suburbs of Sydney (AC/DC land) and he didn't have an older brother.

Talking about Slingblade reminded me of the very versatile Billy Bob Thornton - I love these two songs by him - as different as chalk and cheese:
The first one makes me wish I was sitting on my grandma's porch and snappin' beans with her and the second one makes me wish I was sitting at a table in that lounge people watching and making faces at Billy Bob trying to get him to crack a smile:

As messed up as he can be - he's got talent - he wrote the screenplay for Slingblade too - I think he should have gotten an Oscar for that.
