I'm listening to my hair dryer assist in the refrigerator defrosting task. I find it uninspiring.
My Gawd, blatham. That hair dryer assist brings back unfond memories.
I would, however, like to take this opportunity to alert you all to the fact that our own HCE/Beedlesquoink, has a brand new CD featuring some of his old and new tunes. As usual, they are awesome and reflect a variety of styles. Hey, HCE, if you're following these posts....Salute to your artistry.
I want to live with a cinnamon girl
I could be happy the rest of my life
With her
A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chase the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl
Ten silver saxes, a bass with a bow
The drummer relaxes, waits between shows
(feels right)
A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chase the moonlight,
(all right)
My cinnamon girl
Pa sent me money now
I'm gonna make it somehow
I need another chance
You see my baby loves to dance
Yeah
Feeling tired
By the fire
The long day is over
The wind is gone
Asleep at dawn
The embers burn on
With no reprise
The sun will rise
The long day is over
--Norah Jones
I love Norah Jones...
Right now I'm listening to Jimmy Smith -- a great Verve "best of."
Norah Jones with her seductive voice makes me want to hit the sack. Trouble is, then I fall asleep. She's sooooooooooo boring. That album, to me, is just unlistenable.
I love the Norah Jones CD.... several of the songs were written by Jesse Harris..... those are great songs.....
"Lines on your face don't bother me
Down in my chair when you dance over me
I can't help myself
I've got to see you again."
Right now, I'm listening to Kate Wolf, a CD of songs I downloaded while Napster and AudioGalaxy were still functioning.... one of my favorites songs, "Give Yourself To Love".....
PaL
I'm listening to Norah right now as I work. Calms me down. I also like Sade ("Lovers Rock") for background music. When I need a pickup, I'll put on Annie Lennox ("Bare") or the Chicago soundtrack.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
You're right, cjhsa. Annie Lennox was a little too calming. I'm combing through the CD drawer now...
Need something energizing, but not to interfere with concentration. Any suggestions, anyone?
Get out the new Fountains of Wayne "Welcome Interstate Managers" CD. It will do the trick.
I'm in the mood for some good pickin' on the geetar..... some excellent bluegrass.....
I'm listening to Norman Blake.... his "Slow Train Through Georgia" CD....

Way down, way way down
Way way down deep
You've got me way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
You're got me way down, way down deep
I wander with you in my sleep
I'm way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
It came to me this morning
I was walking down the street
Was like my soul could taste you
And god, you tasted sweet
Finally i can breathe again
Finally i can speak
I've got you in the glory place
I've got you way down deep
I've got you way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
You're got me way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
You're got me way down, way way down,
I wander with you in my sleep
I'm way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
It's a funny feeling
But i cannot say i mind
I know that i'm dealing with
A love that's far from blind
I see every single angle
I look before i leap
And how else can i put it
When you're got me way down deep
You've got me way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
You've got me way down, way way down,
Way way down deep
You've got me way down, way down deep
