I know you Canadians hate to be called American but in my head you're North Americans and the West Indies is definitely part of the Americas and I'm sure Oscar's forebears were from Africa originally. Have I put my foot in my mouth?
with Oscar you have - he's very much about being Canadian. He chose to stay here for his career instead of moving to the States. His entire family is divine. Check out Oliver Jones (a cousin of Oscar's). Also a jazz pianist. Gorgeous phrasing.

My apologies to Oscar then. I've always loved what little of his work I have on disk - something about what comes out of his fingers. His version of Hymn to Freedom is special and the arrangement on Take Five...

2PacksAday
The story of your Grandfather is priceless. It was nice of you to share that. I just lost my dad in August. I haven't even been to see my dad's headstone yet. The thought of going hurts too much right now.
For everyone that commented on my little story...thank you...means more to me than you know. A few pages back Panzade mentioned that he liked "comments" about the songs, so I was obliging....in my own way.
