funny, just saying miles davis' name makes you sound cool.
Look at Tommy's face when Pete raises his folkie guitar over his head...

Terry, I thought I was listening to the soundtrack for "Friends".
Marcus Shelby, "Time to Fall in Love Again".
Glory box, by Portishhead.
F**k music.
Portishead - Glory Box
Portishead
I'm so tired of playing,
Playing with this bow and arrow,
Gonna give my heart away,
Leave it to the other girls to play.
For I've been a tempteress too long,
CHORUS:
Just...
Give me a reason to love you,
Give me a reason to be a woman,
I just want to be a woman
From this time unchained,
We're all looking at a different picture,
Through this new frame of mind,
A thousand flowers could bloom,
Move over and give us some room
CHORUS
So don't you stop being a man,
Just take a little look from outside when you can,
Sow a little tenderness,
No matter if you cry
CHORUS
{Its all I want to be, a woman},
So I just want to be a woman,
For this is the beginning of forever and ever,
Its time to move over now,
(So I want to be)
{Back to start again and fades}
Some silly repetetive song about someone's um-ber-ella ella ella, hey hey hey.
Gelisgesti listens to Led Zeppellin and Pink Floyd... Cool !!
But asks for brownie... ???? hehehhe lots and lots of fat in that brownie, Mr./Mrs./Missy??
Portis Head is great. My Fiance' always plays one of her/their cd's when we go on long trips. Ha ha on the umbrella song comment!!!!! That's to funny. I am listening to Boys to Men, "Please Don't Go" I think? It is playing on the 90's hits here at work. Haven't heard a bunch of these 90's songs since I was a teen. I am old...
I Can't Seem to Make You Mine--The Seeds
This might be a repeat. I listen to this song all the time.
TTH--Dear Mr. President hit a nerve....made me cry....I posted the video on my MySpace page. Now I NEED the theme from Friends.

I thought it was very touching and she sang the song so well. I really like the way she portrays herself. She doesn't appear to be phony. She says what she thinks. She reminds me of Madonna in that way.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. theme song

I thought this one was the best
Yes, I can see a bit of Madonna's influence, but I see less of the f*ck you attitude.
Currently listening to James Blunt....Back to Bedlam....can't get away from it. Funniest thing is that I can sing every word of Weird Al Yankovic's "You're Pitiful," but barely any of Blunt's "You're Beautiful." I've always been a sucker for lyrics that made me laugh.
For example <ahem>:
Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul
Not Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks'.
BTW, thanks TTH!
(Now I think I'm gonna' have to do a search for TMBG.)
Take a walk on the wild side.
a bunch of drunken karaoke singers doing nickelback... what a f*cking pleasure...
