I got a cheesy set of 5 classical music CD's called " Sleepy Time Classical"

Not a clunker in the set...oh, and for $9.95...such a bargain

What's on the set?

like...the top 100 classical hits...but real laid back...so Iamb going to sleep at night listening to it.

One that stands out is Tchaikovskys Sleeping Beauty Waltz...real nice

Moby's Play

I was captured by this music in just seconds while stopping by a coworker's office earlier this week. This album was released in 1999 and I have to ask myself where the hell have I been for the last seven years, that I never paid any attention before now.

Really great. I've borrowed the disc, but will be purchasing this one.

I know, LordE, There's some neat stuff on youtube!

There was another link here a couple days ago - but I was logged off before I saw it, and by the time I got back to post today, the link was gone. So I hope not to look silly... but I had meant to say thanks for the treat.

I'm talking about My Back Pages

I saved it.

Nods to the poster. Ah, hell. Smiles and waves!

Joeblow, I LOVED Play.

I usually don't appreciate "sampled" songs, but the one he uses BB King's recording is superb-- (is that Porcelain?) and there are several others that I dearly love on that CD.

What's your favorite on there?

Lash, I don't have the disc handy at the moment, but I'll look tonight. Porcelain's the third track (fabulous, fabulous) if I remember correctly, but I'd be gobstopped if it was BB's.

There's a couple of blues tunes mixed in with it all (just great stuff)and I was singing back up before the end of the first time through Razz

There's at least three *fav's* so far. I'll listen again and post later.

(Oh Swimpy - D A M N straight)

Here we go lash,

Track 1 - Honey
Track 2 - (I forget already, but I think I liked it, but I didn't jot it down, so maybe I didn't - but I've ejected and replaced the damn thing so I don't know.
Track 3 - Porcelain
Track 8 - Natural Blues - despite the repetition
Track 11 - Running On -

but, arg. I don't own ANY of these tunes yet.

Tracks 6 (Rushing), 14 (Everloving), and 18 (My Weakness) would make it to a lakeside deck sunset disk.

Track 18 sounds like what I think a gregorian chant might sound like (if only I knew). What the hell are they sing/chanting?

Anyway.

Track # 83

I'm listening to every sample with Habibi or something similar in the title trying to figger out which one is the music for our recital.

I think it's # 83 but a more modern version.

Habibi
Habibi
Habibi

there's no escape
