Rachmaninov - Piano concerto #2, 2nd movement. Adagio sostenuto, it's a slow, very pretty piece.

Panzade your avatar IS my thunder cat!
iPoding again--more early Pointer Sisters, some clunky middle vintage Herman's Hermits (ouch!) and some killer Astor Piazzola with the Kronos Quartet!

God I loved HH'. No Milk Today because they gave Graham Gouldman a shot. He was writing these dark minor key things.
Also liked their Wonderful World and I'm Into Something Good

But does your thunder cat twiddle his paw in impatience?

Whew! Exactly!! When I tell folks I like the No Milk Today lp, they stare at me blankly. I didn't even download Henry the VIII! Good stuff, that: East West

Thunder Cat's been known, when stretched out on one's lap especially, to reach out with a paw, stretch it really wide and then dig in with all claws.
owowowoowwch! His name is Grigio, grey in Italian. Because when I adopted him, his name was Grady and I opted out, but wanted it close since he comes when you call.

Paulaj, this is one of my all time favorites. I have it on this albumn:

Beethoven's Piano Concerto 5 is on there as well. It is a great albumn.

Smashmouth-Incredibly talented, but intellectually ...lazy. Waiting for them to cover America by Neil Diamond.

This just came up on internet radio oldies...anyone ever hear it?

Let It Out (Let It All Hang Out)
THE HOMBRES
(Bill Cunningham)

(spoken): "A preachment, dear friends, you are about to receive
on John Barleycorn, nicotine, and the temptations of Eve"
(Bronx cheer)

No parkin' by the sewer sign
Hot dog, my razor's broke
Water drippin' up the spout
But I don't care, let it all hang out

Hangin' from a pine tree by my knees
Sun is shinin' through the shade
Nobody knows what it's all about,
It's too much, man, let it all hang out

Saw a man walkin' upside down
My T.V.'s on the blink
Made Galileo look like a Boy Scout
Sorry 'bout that, let it all hang out

Sleep all day, drive all night
Brain my numb, can't stop now
For sure ain't no doubt
Keep an open mind, let it all hang out

It's rainin' inside a big brown moon
How does that mess you baby up, leg
Eatin' a Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut
Don't stop now, baby, let it all hang out

Let it all hang out (harmonized)

I was blank about John Barleycorn until Stevie Winwood
brought it to the Traffic album. What a great protest song from the 18th century(?)

Reuben Wilson - Boogaloo to the Beastie Boys

It's a Jazz tribute to the Beastie Boys
very very interesting.
Very decent as well.
