OK this is my mistake , its not a ritual ( as per ur understanding of the word), but its not a tradition ( as per anyones understanding of the word), it was not here before islam , its a rule , a teaching , in Islam a female must wear clothes in a particular way generally descriped in the Qura'an , what ever u call it ( ritual by me ) its a must for them , i suppose just like the jewish head wear ( i dont know its name ) .

I believe it's called a Yamacha(sp?) or sometimes a skull-cap.

@Sabz5150,
tune ur tv to Aljazeera u will find that many muslim women do not abide by the dress code , what we are discussing are those women in the west who choose to and want to wear clothes according to the Islamic dress code and are not allowed to whether in schools colleges or where ever

I've never heard of a women being prevented by wearing a veil, although i don't doubt it happens, but she is most certainly protected by the constitution to do so.

The veil should be outlawed, always and everywhere in the West, period. Nope. Not here.:headbang:

Make up your mind , do you have freedom of this and that or not ?!!
it seems to me your constitution is used only when it suits your questionable aims.

Don't mind Pino, he is a self-proclaimed hypocrite by nature.

I'm glad the rest of America doesn't feel the same way he does about this...

I lived in Montana for a considerable amount of time in my youth. If you looked too weird, rednecks would attack you. They'd just flat-out stampede your arse and kick the chit out of ya, right there in broad daylight. Onlookers would laugh. It was wild. Sometimes I sort of miss that kind of vigilante justice. Whenever I drive through west Texas, I can feel it in the air.:thumbup:

Which is ironic considering how much the men over there like to hold hands, and play kissy face.

@92b16vx,
Yeah....they do kiss each other a lot. I've heard pedarestry is actually tolerated over there, and is quite common.
