I do not believe the world will end in 2012. According to the Bible there is still to much that needs to happen. However, I do believe I will see Christ's return before.

2012 foretells of renewal, not devastation.
Large mental adjustments for all of us yes but overall a fine new beginning.
You must admit that there are a lot of things that need adjustments.

The Mayans had December 22, 2012 at the end of their calender as the end of an epoch. Hopefully this means an age of peace and enlightenment is upon us. Its very interesting that the sun lines up with the galactic center on that exact date and according to the Mayans who had sophisticated knowledge of celestial bodies thousands of years ago somehow this happens.

Sorry for all the nutbar less than nice responses. Any person that can reason should accept the possibility of 2012. I've followed this idea sine 1980, the aztec calendar stops in 2012 but I think it's not the end of time personally. I think "man" will survive from an astroid.

What is interesting is that they could not see that far.

Also in very long distances, all lightcones, show an apparent direction only because it has been bent somewhere along its journey to here over time.

The real direction stays unknown and is unknowable.
