@mousy,
Before i answer i'd like to know your answer? Are you under the assumption that Eve had sex with a serpent?

@mousy,
So what you are saying is that if there was an Adam and Eve, and they did have children, and all of them were to God's liking, then one of them interbreeded? With a snakeman?(Like the photo on the other thread?) Resulting in the human species? and you think the ancient cultures worshipped him knowing he was the "source" of the human linage, it makes a twisted kind of sense.

@mousy,
The story shouldn't be taken literally. It's religious literature, meant to teach universal truths through symbolism, allegory, and metaphor. The bottom line is that Man cannot help but rebel against The Good. Deep down, he harbors an unfathomable capacity for great wickedness. We live out this nightmarish quality of our being every day. In this sense, Man truly has a fallen nature. When he is shown crystalline purity, perfect goodness, absolute truth, many of his kind immediately desire to violate and destroy them. Part of Man is bestial, and that's the part that pulls him down. :leghump:

Perhaps Eve herself....the serpent (who is really Lucifer)...according to my understanding of Genesis...and I have made some of my thoughts known concerning my own encounter with the entity...(horror beyond expression and only a breath away)

I think it is also important to mention that when the encounter occured with myself...the entity(photo) Tempts me asking " whatever you want" however energy from it really wants to rip me into small pieces... could not for some reason.

@mousy,
I don't think Mousy is being serious here. This appears to be a spoof. Mousy is being 'mousy' with us.

@mousy,
Most of the time I hear Eve is responsible for the fall of humanity, consider this:

Adam made fresh from the hand of God, right?
Eve by-product of the man

The principle product was the test subject

Genesis 3:6, "Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." (emphasis added)

Adam is responsible, he stood by and did nothing as evil corrupted his wife, then he compounded his mistake by listening to her, forgetting who made him, letting her lead him, and copying her sin.

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Edmund Burke

Then he refused to accept responsibility for his own inaction and actions when God asked him about the situation. He also tried to blame God for giving him the woman as though that somehow caused the sin.

Genesis 3:12, "Then the man replied, "The woman You gave to be with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate.""

I also recieved a american public education, for some time and considered it quite good comparing to the facilities found here in Brazil. And I do not believe that it matters whos falt it is, but that they both were in falt, as Volunteer explained the result, the order of the factors does not alter the product.

@mousy,
I think the jist of the scripture is that MAN ( humankind) in his frailty is the cause of the fall of humanity , not either Adam or Eve as individuals . Arguments can be made to blame either one by use of selective interpretation of the scriptures .
