@Brent cv,
Martin Sheen's best role - Brando's, too. I was shocked by the part where they slaughter the ox with a long machete. That was an actual ceremony that Coppola just happened on and filmed it.

@Brent cv,
My favorite movie. I saw it in '79, and wanted to be branched Infantry as a result. I never knew for sure which one I was/am, down deep -- Kurtz or Willard. I'm sure that was one of Conrad's and Coppola's subliminal objectives.

@Brent cv,
Hold long did it take him to get through? Those mogs if they have the original Benzo motor were no speed demons. A buddy of mine had one similar to yours with a turit on top, the one in your avatar is nice.

My iron-pit at home. Just finished pumping for the day. Bought the bench and main bar in 1993.:headbang:

Correct 1969 404 S Benzin, It was alot faster than any of those US autos spinning the wheels with all those horses and not going anywhere. They didn't even hook the line to us after the first pass. We had a 406 Diesel in the comp:headbang: . also it wasn't any faster through there.
The other Unimog is a U1300L turbo custom, a buddy of ours here rebuilds them and tricks them out more HPs, split tranny, big tires, AC inside not on the roof, and more custom options from Mercedes. Pretty much the wallet is the limit.
I have some really great pics of my man driving through the river over 4' deep with the headlights underwater in the same Unimog as the mud bog, I will get them up tomorrow.

@Brent cv,
When the tide goes out at NS beaches it's all red mud, I like taking my nieces and nephews for mud fights. It brings out my inner child. Cool pictures Ty, love the mudddddddddddd.
