What's so special about moose Rex?

Thousands of creatures were mangled just building your residence.

The number is unquantifiable in respect of the logistics of providing your musical equipment at a price you can afford.

Those are facts. You're big on facts I gather. Science doesn't rest when it has found that the earth is round.

What's so special about land and water that is not covered in DIRTY OIL????

Did you seriously just ask me that question?

There are cleaner ways of providing energy that don't require destroying land for centuries and beyond.

Simple logic is that if the Moose (and many other animals) can't survive, neither can we.

@RexRed,
I didn't know that the moose is in danger.

Some call oil black gold. There is not much you do that doesn't run on it. Where there's muck there's brass is an old saying.

The subject is far too complex for simple solutions. But I realise that saving moose is likely a popular schtick.

Every time you shop at The Rainforest Site store, you help preserve endangered rainforest land -- at no extra cost to you. Funds are granted to the Rainforest Trust (formerly World Land Trust-US).

@RexRed,
Your blithe assumption, Rex, that there is no psychological motive in the consumption of energy leads you to the view that "clean" energy can replace "dirty" energy.

As consumption of energy is an expression of pride and as pride has no limits "clean" energy will simply add to energy use and not replace "dirty" energy.

@spendius,
This is where we disagree.

I think clean energy forms have been under developed and the strides made in just the last five years prove that.

Eventually there will be a moratorium on dirty energy because we will be able to supply infinite energy needs using clean avenues. These infinite clean energy sources have yet to be developed.

In the not so distant future, noting will require dirty energy forms to operate.

@RexRed,
I'm not a utopian Rex. We will all be long gone by the time that world appears and when it does, which is logical I admit, it will only be because we are forced into it.

They say in another 50 years, through science, humans may have achieved eternal physical bodies. Old age could be cured by a simple protein that we are all lacking.

I have not died yet, besides, not leaving an insurmountable mess for future generations is a selfless utopian idea also.

@RexRed,
There's no limit. Energy is not like food, or sex. It has no production capacity that can't be eagerly consumed.

Pride is not a carnal appetite. It can get as daft as anybody can think up.

Ask any utility company with surplus energy at any given time if there are limits. There are limits and we can expand with clean energy in the same way.

The only limits are the finite amount of fossil fuels and our earth can only sustain so much dirty energy plunder and pollution.

We need to discover that infinite energy source rather than blindly plunder all other finite resources. There are grave consequences for the latter.

There are limits
