is my gold fish pregnant?

hello i have a child who has 3 gold fish but i a, asking about bubbles the gold fish.
we dont know if he is a male or a female the person at the shop did not tell us but as my daughter keeps feeding bubbles sepratley from the other fish hoping that he should just go on a diet but he/she is getting fater insted of smaller.HELP ME AND MY DAUGHTER!!!! is my daughters gold fish pregnant? and do gold fish lay live baby fish or eggs we dont know.
