						Hi. I always thought my goldfish was male until this morning when i changed its water, and saw a bunch of eggs everywhere. So obviously it's female; and it's in a bowl by itself, b/c i also have 2 other beta fish but separetely. Like betas, do goldfish release their eggs every so often, or what might have triggered my goldfish to lay/produce eggs? And what should I do?

Nothing, if you don't have a male goldfish to fertilize the eggs nothing is going to happen.

													@Robert Gentel,
												Doing nothing is a sound policy most of the time.

													@kangaroo909605,
												Did you ever get an answer for this? I have a female that is laying eggs constantly. I posted a question to this site. Waiting on an answer. Maybe you know, how long does the egg laying last and how often? Someone told me if I made the water cooler it would stop? Do you know?
