I tripped over a reference to Tracy Anderson this weekend. Supposedly, there was a poll among yahoo account holders asking which Hollywood icon had the best legs and the winners were Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Shakira.
What is odd about this list is I tend to think that shots of celebrities on the red carpet . . . which seem to be from a high camera angle . . . always make their knees look lumpy, a look enhanced by today's stockingless fashion.
Anyway. A video of trainer Tracy Anderson explaining the exercises she proscribes for the above leggy trio accompanied the article. I forwarded it to my daughter for her opinion on the exercises.
My daughter likes a muscular look for women and does not approve of Anderson's three pound weight maximum or her use of extreme repetition.
As it turns out, Anderson is behind the baby food diet that has been so widely snickered at in blogs and by late night comedians.
Supposedly, Paltrow works out six days a week, doing her 40 reps. Really?
I then found a video of Anderson demonstrating her anti-batwing moves . . . five minutes of dancing to a horrible "club song." I would go nuts doing that . . . although there must be alternate music one can use. The video is almost 6 minutes long but I was bored beyond belief at 90 seconds.
