Big step backwards, bare with..

I am sure that right now everyone from philforum is feeling a little out of place, a little like, being in a whole different planet. It is a most expectable reaction to the situation, and one that comes with all new things that encompass drastic change. I know the lay out is utterly primitive compared to that of the old forum, but I ask to bare with, and remain stoical and understanding, as it is only yet the begging of a big procedure that comes with the amalgamation of two websites, and we are only through the first phases, from what I have understood Robert has plans to refurbish and revamp the current site, surely this will mean improvements of site lay out as well as aesthetics, I am confident that Robert will do a good job of this especially since he is knowing of the high quality and sophistication of the program that was used on philforum, I have no doubt than when the time comes you will get to have a say in regards to the redevelopment of this website, but until then, for those who are still tenacious from the radical change I ask that you remain stoical and understanding.

Thank you.

EDIT: Upon reading some of the threads here I could not help notice that members from philforum are VERY disappointed with the merge. I understand fully where this is coming from as in this point in time the merge is looking like a big step backwards, I understand that this forum is not what we expected but I ask all of you to PLEASE have some patience, please have some tolerance and understanding to the current situation, I ask you to remain stoic and have patience, the current state of this site is only temporary, as I understand and have mentioned changes are being planed and a program/format overhaul will most likely take place in the near future. I ask of you to have some hope, dare I say even faith! for this is only temporary. I know that a lot of members from philforum will be turned away or put of by the site, as I have already seen krumple mention that allot of people will probably bail elsewhere and sadly I have already witnessed my self of a member that has expressed his views and has left the community due to his disappointment. PLEASE, I know I know this is not at all what we had in mind for I my self felt disappointment upon seeing the site, I even thought to my self you have got to be joking, but I have remained calm and positive as I understand this is yet still in progress and there is change to come.
So to all members of the philforum who are deeply put off and disappointed I ask you to please have some patience and hope! I would hate for us to lose any more of our members because of this so if indeed you are thinking about leaving for another site, I urge you to please rconsider your thoughts and remain positive and give this place a chance. Philforum was an exceptional community that has been home to great thinkers for such a long time, and as brief as my journey along the bus was for me, I am sure that most of you will agree that what a ride it was. It will sadden me to have brothers and fellow friends of this wonderful community leave because of this small upheaval. I will hope that most of you will remain positive and hold patience and hope and can come to give this place a chance, the last thing this community needs is to lose all of its members during such a time.

Please consider your thoughts and bare with us.

Thank you.

@Soul Brother,
Thanks for keeping a lookout, and keeping in touch, as we roam and rover these 'lost-in-space feeling blues..' In time, I do reason, we will find our bearings, at least in our visible range of mobility, and then slowly expand our horizons. Catch you 'round ! KJ

After the shock and awe of the change, and we reunite with one another, and as we continue our discussions and engage in new ones, and figure out the mechanics and features here, I am sure that even if it is one step backwards, it will soon become two steps forward if we work at it.
