which one of the three would see most clearly in total darkness?
a leopard
a bat
an owl
Hmm...I would say "bat", except bats don't technically see...
So then I would say an owl, but you said complete darkess, which means no light whatsoever, and nothing can see.
So I will say leopard, because this is in riddles, and it has spotted a lot.
arr har.
Actually, I read somewhere that bats can see.
Actually, none of them could see in total darkness. No matter what the creature, there must be at least a minimal amount of light.
I'll be here all of the week
I just did some research and bats actually see very well. Them being blind is a myth.
Alert! Alert!
The Canadians have discovered that bats can see!
The wonders of modern science have crossed the borders!
Close the borders before they discover that plaid shirts make you look fat.
LOL. Ok, after doing my homework I have to say the owl. Bats can see, but not as well as the owl and the leopards don't have very good night vision.
Bats find their way by a kind of sonar ability, between cats and owls I think owls win, but in TOTAL darkness I dont think either can see
Owls can see in the dark.

I already said that, Kev. That's the answer --
nothing can see in total darkness. Riddle over.
Let's move along folks........ nothing to see here.
gus and kev are right, in total darkness its impossible to see anything
All that research for nothing. Well, atleast we all know now that bats can see :-D
Thanks Montana, great site

I would think it would be the leopard as it is of the cat family who go haunting at night, and they put the cats eyes along the road so as us human animals can see to drive at night
Welcome to A2K metalmickey :-)
Actually, cats don't see as well at night than some people think. The female leopard is the one who hunts at night while the male hunts during the day and she relies on mostly sound and movement.
That's kind of like "What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of lead?"
