Dang...my last guess was wrong too. Just found an image of the Trevi replica at Mini Siam.

I think all in all I found about 5, maybe 6 different places online that display a replica of the Trevi...where I found accompanying images that is. Ugh.

Okay, so you go again c.i.?

This temple is very special, because I don't think there's anything like it in any place else in the world. Wanna play?http://photothru.com/photo_filedb1/A5/58/29/A55829/viewable/A55829_131C9BE21311_1.jpg

caprice, My suitcases are usually pretty small when I travel. I hope you are very small. Wink Back to Jim Thompson's house in Bangkok. The reason I mentioned Jim's home is because it is now a museum. Jim Thompson worked in intelligence during WWII, and eventually started the silk industry in Thailand. His home was built in the classic Thai style, and that's one of the reasons his home is now a museum. What happened to Jim Thompson is a mystery, because he suddently disappeared many years ago, and nobody knows what happened to him.

Ya got me. Temples are located everywhere in the world. And the one clue for me is that this picture was taken 4 days after the previous one. Sooo...likely in an area close to Thailand, if not Thailand itself.

I'm still stuck on the Trevi replica. Was it at a tourist spot in Bangkok? Or is the place Jim Thompson's house, as inferred by your Q?

I don't think it's a tourist spot for the replica Trevi fountain. I found it by accident, and it's not located at Jim Thompson's home. Bangkok is a big city with the mother of all traffic jams. Often times, it's faster to just walk from one place to the next.

BTW, there's a district in Bangkok that's called "Siam City," and there's a Hard Rock Cafe in the area. Wink I walked into the retail shop wearing the Bali Hard Rock Cafe baseball cap, and the clerk there asked if I was willing to trade a Bangkok cap for the one I was wearing. I said, "no way!" Wink

As I said before, it's very unique because of what's inside.

Well, from what I can see in the pictures, it's got a sort of fence around it. And there are what look to be small signs out front that sort of remind me of the signs in front of Iolani Palace in Honolulu. You know, something like "remove shoes before entering" kind of sign.
