Here's an excellent link on Istanbul and the locations of their universities. When we stayed in Istabul, we stayed in the Taksim section, hotel #115. I remember we went to the Hilton Hotel one morning for their buffet breakfast. There are so many interesting things to see and do in Istanbul, but Tokpaki Palace has to be one of the major tourist site.

So the name of the University is.....?
there are others; this one has a name beginning with B
You looking for Bosphorus University?
Beyazit, I was told, though this is also the name of a famous tower in the university grounds. But there are 2 other unis in istanbul so maybe this is how they refer to it, even though Istanbul university will do!
Yes, east of the Mississippi. (Who can misspell the name of that state after repeating it so many times in childhood.
A river. Runs north/south and divides most of the country.

I know what the Mississippi is (I can even spell it, see!) - but what pic are we talking about - did c.i. get the last one correct?
I'm lost. I was refering to the one with the flag.
Oh - I thought that was only for c.i. to show - at that point, Clary was still waiting for an answer!
Silly me... I have no clue!
North of the Mason-Dixon Line?
margo, Clary okayed my Istanbul University answer, so we are now on the US flag picture. It's south of the Mason-Dixon Line. For margo, here's a link to explain the Mason-Dixon line. He said the university he was thinking about starts with a "B," but there's nothing on Google that starts with a B in Istanbul except Bosphorus University.

In Tennessee?
(By the way, c.i., Clary is a she...)
Not Tennessee. Sorry, Clary, for the gender mistake.
I am dumkopf, however you spell it, about visualizing much of the eastern US, though I lived in NY and Ohio for short periods when I was very young. But look at that pic, I am thinking, hmmm, the Smokies?
Gotta be Smoky Mountain National Park. If not Tennessee, then this must be the North Carolina side of the park. Is that the "Oconaluftee River" below the lookout point?
