Hi Piffka, Francis, Intrepid, and good night to satt
A special part? For political reason or just beautiful?
I would say, a minor part, CJ.
Not Uzbekistan, Intrepid.
Is that a Mongol warrior? I can't quite make it out.
Hi C.J.
Ah, Asia Minor... ?
Piff - a king but not mongol.
Intrepid - it's considered to be part of...
Intrepid - which one?
Anyway, none of those.
If I say his name was "Vaxtang" can you find it?
Yes, but then I'd have to put up a photo.
Somethings on my mind...it's...
Georgia
I think it is King Vakhtang Gorgasali's statue with Tbilisi in the background.
But luckily McTag beat me to it. Have a great day, everybody!
Hi, McT!
Georgia it is. Where? (not Atlanta, at least).
When I am able to post photos on the web, then I will be able to join this thread properly.
Until then- where is the world's first passenger railway station situated? (Either end of the line will be acceptable as an answer)
On 25 March 1807, a railroad carriage converted to carry people was conveyed by horse along the perimeter of Swansea Bay, travelling between "the dunes" at Swansea, and destined for Mumbles, an oyster harvesting and fishing village on the west of the bay. The people who undertook this journey were unknowing pioneers - they were the first railway passengers in world history.
Can you find this special place?
