You're right. dear Lord, Lissadell House it is. ("In Memory of Eva Gore-Booth and Con Markievicz".)
The light of evening, Lissadell,
Great windows open to the south,
Two girls in silk kimonos, both
Beautiful, one a gazelle.
--W.B. Yeats
That looks like Germany...
Prag....no.
France......ja, mein herr.
Another view? They have the most exquisite outdoor antiques market once a month.
I do not know les joggeurs.
Have you been there Mc T ?......cos you are absolutely correct.
Well done, old chap.
My brother lives about an hours drive from there ( near Bellegarde, North east of Annecy). I swam in Lac Annecy, but didnt have any swimming trunks. Very exhilarating!!

Looking in on a quick dinner break between the office and evening plans, to confirm what you already knew (Lissadell) and to thank Tico for posting the relevant lines of the poem.
Beautiful place, Annecy! In the first photo... was that one of the mountain streams running through town?
Good puzzler, Bree, and hard -- good hints, too. I was imagining it was a poet's home and had come back to find out.

No, if you look closely you will see that it is the same joggers as in the second photo. They are just crossing the bridge.
Aha. You were following the one in the short shorts then? I thought the French had laws against that.
No I ain't never been to Annecy but it's one of the places I've got a hankering to see. It's evidently very beautiful- we know slightly, through friends, a family who have a summer house there.
btw I can't post pictures so if anyone would like to start another, please do.
