<grin> Just the Palacio? Cool.

It is a nicer city than most people know. Americans tend to rush through it on the way to the beaches -- which are superb.

this is one of the several martello towers ("fort frederick" on the grounds of the "royal military college") guarding kingston and its citizens against the "invaders". these towers along with fort henry were built to defend the royal naval dockyards against attacks from ships approaching from lake ontario.

kingston is really a military town, along with fort henry we have the royal military college, the princess of wales' own regiment, canadian forces land defence college at fort frontenac - a fairly secretive group that has members from canadian, u.s. and other nato forces attending - and finally the so-called "vimy barracks" housing a variety of military operations - mainly communications specialists -.

DON'T FOOL AROUND WITH KINGSTON !
